Towards the end of every month on Koh Tao, comes a very exciting time for most dive schools. Unlike in other parts of the world, a PADI Instructor Exam is held every month on Koh Tao and this month, it marked a very special moment for Sairee Cottage Diving. Not only was there one our own taking part, Shelly Hunert, but it was also the first time a section of the Instructor Exam was conducted here at Sairee Cottage Diving.
After 2 – 2.5 weeks of training during the IDC, Instructor Candidates from dive schools from around Koh Tao gathered at Sairee Cottage Diving’s Pool on the 23rd of June for the confined section of the exam.
We’ve never seen the pool so crowded and our Divemaster Candidates also had a chance to take a peek into what could potentially be their future.
It was great for us to witness Shelly, who worked with Sairee Cottage Diving as a Divemaster for a while, ace all the sections of the Instructor Exam.
