I came and got my Advanced Open Water Diver three years ago at Sairee Cottage Diving., so when I decided to come back and do my IDC, it just seemed like the right thing to do. I definitely made the right choice. I’ve heard horror stories of IDC’s that traumatized divers and only taught them how to pass the Instructors Examination, and this was nothing like that. This course was fun, engaging, and most of all rewarding. The course director Marcel was a treasure trove of information and useful tips, and he spent hours of extra time to ensure that all of us were ready for the IE as well as ready to go be instructors in the real world. His lectures were filled to the brim with all the material that he learned over his dive career to help us avoid common pitfalls and mistakes. I honestly don’t regret a single second of this IDC and it’s kind of a shame that it’s over. I can now say I really feel prepared for my future career in the dive industry and I hope to work with Marcel and Sairee Cottage Diving in the future.
