Marcel Van Den Berg is the Course Director and I cannot express strongly enough what an amazing IDC it was.
During the course Marcel gave 110% to all of us students. Marcel thoroughly taught us the skills, academics and practicalities of being a future instructor. As students we also felt fully prepared for the IE, which was proven with a 100% pass rate in our group. We were also lucky enough to have input from experienced Staff Instructors Chris Fitzgerald and Julian Picco.
In addition to the first class teaching we received, as students we really felt that Marcel cared passionately about us and our future careers as PADI Instructors. I had the sense that he was on a personal mission to make us the best, safest and most professional Diving Instructors possible. As a Course Director he is a true credit to the names of PADI and Sairee Cottage Diving.
My impression of the course was that the structure and content had been finely tuned by Marcel over many years, and we were extremely lucky to benefit from his years of hard work and inspirational teaching methods.
